
My Background
Susan Graves, M.M., earned her Master of Music degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the University Of Redlands. She teaches guitar, voice and piano through her private music studio in Redlands. She also serves on the faculty of the University of Redlands School of Music CSMA. Her music education agency, the Graves Music School, provides excellence in music education for students of Guitar, Piano, Voice, Violin and more to charter schools and private students throughout Southern California. She also regularly performs for venues and events throughout Southern California. Both her performance and teaching styles have been greatly influenced by her late husband, renowned classical guitarist Terry Graves, founding member of the award-winning Falla Guitar Trio and his student Stuart Green who heads the guitar department at the University of Redlands. In 2003, she debuted original compositions and arrangements in concert with renowned guitarist Kenton Youngstrom and flutist Sara Andon. She is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California where she serves on the development committee for the guitar Certificate of Merit program. Her first book "Classical Guitar Theory Reference" was published on March 16th, 2020 (see below).
